Closed suction catheter Product Introduction
FEATURE
1. Push switch and luer lock. This design can keep breathing isolate the turbulent cleaning chamber, and prevent spray back, which reduces the risk of VAP for ventilated patients.
2. Prevent cross-infection. The closed suction systems are designed with protective sleeves to isolate the germs inside the patients and help caregivers avoid cross-infection.
3. The smart design of the closed suction catheters allows the patient’s breath-mechanical ventilation and suctioning simultaneously.
4. Soft and smooth suction tip reduces damage to mucous membranes.
5. Double swivel connectors reduce strain on ventilator tubing.
6. Easy operation in the suction process by being equipped with a wedge (separator) to disconnect and clip function.

STRUCTURE
1. The device consists of three main components: a suction catheter, a plastic sleeve, and a Y-shaped connector with a push switch.
2. The suction catheter is a single-lumen tube made of soft, flexible material such as silicone or polyurethane. It is inserted through the patient’s endotracheal or tracheostomy tube to remove secretions from the lungs.
3. The plastic sleeve is a transparent, flexible covering that encloses the suction catheter to maintain a sterile environment and prevent contamination. It also provides a smooth surface for the catheter to move through, reducing the risk of trauma to the patient’s airways.
4. The Y-shaped connector has two arms, one of which connects to the patient’s endotracheal or tracheostomy tube, while the other connects to the ventilator circuit. The push switch is located on the side of the connector and is used to activate the suctioning process.
5. The double swivel elbow design allows the connector to rotate 360 degrees, making it easy to adjust the position of the suction catheter without disconnecting the device from the patient or the ventilator circuit.
APPLICABLE SCOPE
1. The applicable scope of the Closed Suction System Single Lumen72 H (Double Swivel Elbow Y-Type & Push Switch) is for use in patients who require mechanical ventilation and have a tracheostomy tube or endotracheal tube in place.
