Steve Medical Concludes Medtec China 2026 with Strong Interest in OEM Silicone Solutions

The 20th edition ran from September 1 to 3 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Pudong, gathering around 1,100 exhibitors from 27 countries across Halls N1–N4. Unlike clinical trade fairs, Medtec China focuses on materials, components, tubing and extrusion, molding, and OEM/ODM contract manufacturing — the parts of the value chain that determine whether a finished device can be brought to market on time and at scale. 01 — Booth N2-A605: A Component-First View
Visitors who stopped by Booth N2-A605 saw a component-first view of Steve Medical’s silicone capabilities, rather than only finished consumables. The booth wall was organized into six product groups covering silicone-coated tubing, coated catheters, balloon catheters, reinforced tubes, multi-lumen and cross-shaped silicone tubing, and respiratory/anesthesia-grade silicone assemblies. A dedicated “New Arrivals” panel highlighted the company’s latest silicone balloon Foley catheter and a silicone gastrointestinal hemostasis balloon.

The full product line presented in Shanghai covered the following groups:
- Silicone Foley Catheters — 1-way (12Fr–26Fr), 2-way (6Fr–26Fr; balloon 3–5 ml / 5–10 ml / 20–30 ml) and 3-way (14Fr–26Fr) versions, designed for up to 29 days of indwelling use, with a radio-opaque line for X-ray visualization.
- Drainage portfolio — hematuria catheters, negative-pressure wound drainage systems, channel drain and round drain tubes for postoperative care.
- Silicone breathing circuits for anesthesia and respiratory support.
- Silicone feeding tubes and gastrostomy tubes for enteral nutrition.
- Silicone tubing components for OEM — end-hole straight tubes, single-end double-lumen tubes, multi-lumen tubes and silicone cross-shaped tubes, supplied as raw subassemblies or finished devices under private label.
03 — OEM and Contract Manufacturing Capabilities
The largest share of conversations at the booth centered on OEM cooperation. Visitors asked about silicone material selection (medical-grade LSR and HCR), custom balloon sizing and inflation volumes, multi-lumen extrusion tolerances, hydrophilic and antimicrobial coatings, mold development, EO sterilization, and retail packaging under customer brands.
